Carrie Curelariu Owner/Instructor Carrie Curelariu has been involved in dance for eighteen years. She began at the age of 4, decided dancing was not for her then renewed her dream of being a dancer at the age of 9. She graduated from June’s Dancers in 2000, which was known as June Montgomery School of Dance when Carrie first began dancing in 1987. She served as a class demonstrator when she was just 13 years old until she graduated. After graduating dance, Carrie taught for four years at June’s Dancers. After gaining experience at her old studio, Carrie then decided to start her own dance instruction company, called A Step Above. In 2007, A Step Above merged with Art of Dance, where Tiffany and Carrie now teach classes together. When asked about the move, Carrie replied, “It makes the dance classes more fun having both of us there!”.
