• REQUIREMENTS :
• Ages 10 to adults,
• strong dance ability required
• min. 3 years dance training
• Attend monthly Sr.Star practices
• Attend summer practices – 5-10 days with in a three week period
• enrolled in at least level III ballet at AOD (other class enrollment at AOD encouraged but not required
• Yearly Fee covers $115
• ACTIVITIES
• perform at local events, state and possible national events
• perform  in “special dance scene” in AOD yearly dance recital
• try out of leads in all performances
• attended dance conventions & competitions local, state & national
• Jr. STARS
• REQUIREMENTS:
• Ages 8 to adult,
• moderate dance ability required
• min. 1 years dance training
• enrolled in at least level I or level II  ballet at AOD or other creditable dance school  (other class enrollment at AOD encouraged but not required)
• Yearly Fee $95
• ACTIVITIES
• perform at local events
• optional to perform at state & national events
• perform  in “special dance scene” in AOD yearly dance recital
• Optional attendance to dance conventions local, state, national
• Possible optional participation in dance competitions local, state & national
• Minnie STARS
• REQUIREMENTS:
• Ages 4-8
• None to moderate dance ability required
• No dance experience required but recommended
• Enrollment at AOD or other creditable dance school not required but recommended.
• Once a month practice (TBA on a Friday evening or Saturday)
• Summer practice 2-3 days
• Yearly Fee $60
• ACTIVITIES
•  perform at local events
• optional to perform at state & national events
• perform  in “special dance scene” in AOD yearly dance recital
• Optional attendance to dance conventions local to state
• Possible optional participation in dance competitions local, state & national

·         How to join any level of S.T.A.R.S?   Attend a try out session.

·         Paying the “Yearly Fee”? May be paid in installments with 10% financing fee. This fee will be due every July.

·         What does the “Yearly fee” cover?  Instruct & choreographer fees for regular scheduled practices, use of  costumes / accessories* for regular performance events, participation fee for “special dance scene” in AOD’s yearly recital

• NOTE:  Each level will have one or two different costumes to be worn at most performance events—however please understand that at times members participated in certain events/ performances may require a different costume / attire—if funds raised from fundraisers allow AOD will purchase these items, but there may be times when members must provide or pay for additional costumes—this will more or less be for “leads” in special dance routines, competitions, specific themed events. 

·         Other Financial Responsibility—entire fees for conventions & competitions, travel expense, hotel expense for out of town events, most “performance” event should not have an entire fee however some may.

• Any event that requires an “entire fee” is optional to Jr. S.T.A.R.S and Minnie STARS - Sr. Stars will be required to attend all events.

·         Financial Help/ Fundraisers--

• AOD will hold car washes when ever possible—those who attend will get account credited in this order -- yearly fee, conventions, competitions, other
• S.T.A.R.S parents can hold any number of fundraisers with approval from AOD director only.  The money raised from these events is property of AOD STARS dance / performance team—parents who hold these fundraisers decided if money raised is disturbed to all members or to only those who participated in fundraiser—Parents also decided where the money raised is delegated – entire fees, yearly fees etc.   

·         Ownership—AOD owns all costumes, accessories, props etc paid for by AOD with or with out the use of monies from fundraisers—members are expected to return costumes in the same condition in which they receive them—members who do not return items will be charged the cost to replace such items.  AOD also owns any and all chorography used by STARS members—used of choreography by any members outside of STARS or AOD will be charged a $200 fee.

·         STARS members Benefits—

• Any STARS member will get a discount for taking three of more classes at AOD.
• Special recognition during the yearly award ceremony
• STARS members may attend certain classes during “technique” class time for a fee of $5.00 each class up to 5 times in one dance year (sep-may) – example member is enrolled in ballet only at AOD—member may attend a class for  Hip Hop, tumbling, tap etc. during “technique” training time.
